This amazing view of Saturn was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope using its wide field planetary camera. The image shows details in the planet's atmosphere and rings. Saturn's rings appear to change in shape as the planet orbits the Sun. There are actually certain times during the Saturnian year when the rings will appear edge on and are completely invisible from Earth.
