Latticed Butterflyfish
The latticed butterflyfish (Chaetodon rafflesii) is known for its bright yellow color and dark lattice pattern on its scales. It is also sometimes known as the Raffle's Butterflyfish. This fish can be found inhabiting coral reefs throughout the western Pacific Ocean and Indo-Pacific regions from southern Japan to the Great Barrier Reef in northern Australia. It feeds mainly on sea anemones, polychaetes, and coral polyps. This fish can grow to a length of 6 inches (15 centimeters).
