Sally Lightfoot Crab
This image of a Sally Lightfoot crab on a rock ledge was taken by NOAA photographers in the Galapagos Islands. Also known as Red Rock crabs, these colorful crustaceans grow to a length of about 8 inches (20 centimeters). They can be found scavenging the rocks of the islands for scraps of food. They are one of the most common sights in the Galapagos islands.
