Tropical Storm Chris
This image of Tropical Storm Chris was taken when the storm was located to the east of Puerto Rico and the Leeward Islands on August 2, 2006. Members of the Expedition 13 crew onboard the International Space Station (ISS) recorded this still image of the storm. Tropical storm Chris was the fourth tropical storm of the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season. It was a relatively short-lived storm, reaching a peak intensity with winds at 65 mph (100 km/h) on August 2, while positioned north of St. Martin. Tropical storms and hurricanes are favorite targets for ISS crew photos because they can only be seen from space.
