Flamingo Tongue Cowrie

The flamingo tongue is a member of a group of snails known as cowries. These snails are of great interest to shell collectors because of their beautiful shells. The shells have a very shiny and polished appearance. Most cowries eat algae and dead animals although some species will eat corals.
