Pink Soft Coral
This pink soft coral was found off the coast of the Philippine Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Soft corals are common throughout the reefs of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. They lack the hard, stony skeleton of many other types of corals. Soft corals can be found in many bright colors. This image of a pink soft coral was captured by Dr. Dwayne Meadows of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
