Eagle Nebula

This image of the famous Eagle Nebula was captured by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. It shows the "mountains" shapes where new stars are being born. Dubbed "Mountains of Creation" by Spitzer scientists, these towering pillars of cool gas and dust are illuminated at their tips with light from warm embryonic stars.

For Internet Explorer, simply right-click the image and select "Save Picture As..." to save the image to your computer. You can also choose "Set as background" to set the image as your computer's background image.
