Lagoon Nebula Details
This detailed view of the Lagoon Nebula, also known as M8, shows what looks like a pair of interstellar "twisters". These dark dust lanes form eerie funnels and rope-like structures within the nebula. The Lagoon Nebula is located over 5000 light-years from Earth.
