Spotted Boxfish

Boxfishes are characterized by their nearly square or box-like shapes. They have a rigid body made up of bony plates. Boxfishes move very slowly through the water because of their odd shape. Many species can release a poison when threatened. The spotted boxfish can be found throughout the Indo-Pacific.
